Today on Texture Pack Gallery I’m taking a look at one of the most famous packs of all time – Dokucraft! While the original creator has stopped working on it, the community has continued the pack in his stead, maintaining the high level of quality expected. Let’s take a look…
The 32x pack features a very unique RPG look with distinctly recognizable patterns for all the natural blocks. You’ll see what I mean in the screenshots. Dokucraft comes in 4 main varieties – High, Light, Dark, and Dwarven, seen in the first 4 screenshots of the gallery, in that order. While they all have the same style, they differ in saturation and brightness, changing the mood drastically. For the rest of the gallery I stuck to High, because that version is kind of the main one, but you can choose your own favorite version and most elements will remain the same.
The mobs are all fully retextured to fit the overall feel of the pack, but remain recognizable. Houses have a very rustic look to them, further emboldening the RPG feel. Items are rextured too, but very logical and nice, some even have animations (as you will see in a short HTML5 video at the bottom of the gallery). The pack also features some of the most extensive mod support I’ve seen, rivaling that of Sphax’ PureBDCraft, and just like there you can thank the community for that. But enough talk, let’s start the gallery!
That’s it for this edition. We hope you enjoyed the Texture Pack Gallery! Here’s a higher resolution version of these pictures and a download link:
