After a long wait, The Aether II mod has been updated to support Minecraft 1.7.10, the latest preferred version for modding. With it come a few small additions like new blocks, as well as the return of achievements…
The update brings the famous Aether II mod to Minecraft 1.7.10 in all its (buggy alpha) glory. It also adds some new furnishing blocks like Aether-themed bookshelves and trapdoors.
This update was developed by a new team working under Gilded Games, which is a gamedev studio that consists of Aether veterans. They will be continuing development from now on, and we can expect timely updates and new features soon. More information about the future of the Aether can be found in Gilded Games' video on Facebook, here.
The mod still runs through Forge, but now also depends on the Gilded Games Util, a new utility that comes in the form of a .jar file and presumably makes development easier.
Please note that this is an early update of a very complex mod that is still in Alpha, so it will be noticeably buggy. If you're aware and still need your Aether fix, you can get it here:
