Hats - headwear for the average miner

It's time for Minecraft to give Team Fortress 2 a run for its money in the premier hat simulator category. With iChun's Hats mod, you can place one of many headwear items onto your blocky head and customize it to your liking, as well as add custom ones. It works in multiplayer too! Let's take a look…

Skins are great, but I'm sure that at some point in your Minecraft travels you wanted a bit more customization. And while tails are also a thing, we are taking a look at iChun's Hats mod that allows you to add all kinds of headwear and customize it to your liking. The in-game GUI allows you to pick your hat and customize the color a bit using an RGB slider. It also allows you to sort the hats, save favorites, randomize and all that useful stuff you need in to sort through all the hats.

In-game, the hats look pretty good. Depending on the model it can look great or horrible, but even that is a matter of taste. Some hats aren't really hats at all, but are more headwear (like the Bane mask below), which makes for an added degree of customization. When playing multiplayer, the mod will send your hat to the server so that everyone can see it.

The Hats mod also allows you to add custom hats using a widespread model format, which means you can download models from sites like Techne Online, place them in your hats folder (similarly to how you'd install a resource pack or a mod). This also works with multiplayer, allowing you to wear custom hats even there. It's very impressive.

Overall, it's a very neat mod that focuses on a simple thing but does it extremely well. If you're into customization, you'll love it. You can get it here:
